US calls for resuming negotiations between Sudan and the rebels
Sudan-USA, Politics, 9/28/2002
The spokesman for the US Department of State has called for the resumption of peace talks between Sudan and the rebels who are stationed in the southern part of the country in order to put an end to the civil war which has lasted for 19 years.
Worthy mentioning that Khartoum in the beginning of September pulled out from the talks which were taking place in Mashakos, Kenya in protest of the rebels control of Tourit city.
