Al-Rai al-Am: Sudanese armed forces deny rebel claims on shooting plane

The Sudanese armed forces have denied claims made by the rebels movement in Southern Sudan on that they downed a military plane on Monday.
The Sudanese daily al-Rai al-Am on Friday said quoting a well-informed source at the office of the official spokesman for the Sudanese armed forces that the claims made by the rebels to downing a plane and killing its pilot and four of his aides are but groundless lies out of which the rebel movement aims at alleviating the deteriorating morale of its soldiers.
