Yemen, Politics, 9/27/2002
Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh has accused the opposition parties of having relations with foreign countries embassies, considering these relations and contacts as a violation to the constitution and the law, and described them as a one form of being hirelings to foreign sides.
In a speech he delivered on Thursday before the participants at the Carnival festival which was held at al-Sab'een square in the Yemeni capital Sanaa on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Yemeni revolution, the Yemeni President warned these parties against their continued "suspect" contacts with the foreign embassies and countries. He said that the government knows the aims of these contacts and relations.
