Italian deputy foreign minister arrived in Damascus

The Italian deputy foreign minister Alfredo Manitka arrived in Damascus on Tuesday in a visit lasting for two days during which he holds talks with several Syrian officials on bilateral cooperation relations and the developments of conditions at the regional and international levels.

Manitka will be visiting the most important projects held in the context of cooperation between the two countries in the fields of health and agriculture and preserving the cultural heritage.

During his visit to Damascus, Manitka will discuss with several officials trade and economic relations with the Syrian side and meet with the Italian- Syrian consultation business council and officials responsible for the Italian archaeological teams working in Syria.
