Al-Rai al-Am: Jordanian- Kuwaiti security talks

The Kuwaiti daily al-Rai al-Am said that the director of the Jordanian general intelligence Lt. Gen. Saad al- Kheir arrived in Kuwait last Sunday in a secret visit which lasted for three hours during which he met with the Kuwaiti minister of the interior, Mohammad Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and the assistant secretary for the state security affairs Mashaal al-Jarrah.

Well-informed sources said al-Kheir who also occupy the posts of the advisor of the Jordanian king for the state security affairs discussed in Kuwait recent developments and security coordination in the current phase and the emergency cases that would result from a military action against Iraq.

The sources added that the security preoccupation between Kuwait and Jordan is the same in case war erupts, and both countries are exposed to the Iraqi missiles. A matter over which information were exchanged between the Kuwaiti officials and their Jordanian guest.

On the other hand, al-Rai al-Am said that the Jordanian king Abdullah will visit Kuwait next Monday.
