French Liberation: Marrakesh to have new cinema studios

Marrakesh will shortly have its own cinema studios at the initiative of Moroccan-born French humorist Jamal Debbouze, Moroccan businessman Serge Berdugo and French-American producer Alex Berger. French Liberation daily reports that the project will be located some 14 km away from the ochre city (Marrakesh) which held this September 18-22 its second international film festival.

The studio will be ready in the first half of 2004 but a mega-movie will be shot there in September 2003, says the source.
