Palestinians demonstrate Israel's acts of killing, destruction

The Palestinians on Monday continued angry demonstrations in all parts of the West Bank and Gaza in protest of the Israeli acts of killing, destruction and siege.

In Gaza more than 10,000 citizens, led by Sheikh Ahmad Yassin, the founder of the Islamic resistance movement Hamas, took part in the demonstration during which the Palestinian speakers called for uniting their ranks in confrontation of the continued Israeli aggression "under an international silence" about their condition.

Meantime, more than 5,000 Palestinians took part in a Rafah march against the Israeli occupation and their oppressive practices.

Meantime, a general strike prevailed the cities and camps of the West Bank in protest of the Israeli tanks besiege of the headquarters of the chairman of the Palestinian Authority in Ramullah, while the Palestinian Intifada youths clashed with members of the Israeli position in Khan Younis near "Neve Dekalim" settlement where the Israeli forces launched a campaign of arrest that targeted four Palestinians.

In Jerusalem, the Palestinian citizens announced general strike and raised banners in which writer are " Sharon is a war criminal and an assassinate " and "the Palestinian state will be established sooner or later with Jerusalem as a capital." In Jenin a large explosive went off in an Israeli military vehicle that resulted in wounding several Israeli soldiers.

While the Israeli authorities on Monday morning issued a new warning to the besieged persons at the headquarters of the demolished Palestinian authority headquarters in Ramullah to surrender themselves before they would break into the building.

Also, the Israeli forces launched a campaign of arrest that targeted 24 Palestinians from Toulkarem, Nablus, Jenin and Salwan quarters in Jerusalem while the Israeli tanks were deployed inside the residential areas in the said Palestinian cities to carry out more aggressions.

Meantime, a group of Israeli settlers broke into "Qaber Youssef" ( Joseph's Tomb) area near Nablus under the protection of the Israeli soldiers, and Israeli flags were raised at that site, and provocative words were written calling on the Palestinians to evacuate.

Meanwhile several Israeli reserve soldiers and settlers demonstrated in Tel Aviv on Monday calling for separating between the Israeli settlements and the Palestinians, and to accelerate the process of installing the separation fence in the West Bank.

Meantime, the secretary of the executive committee of the PLO, Mahmoud Mazin, had consultations with Palestinian officials in Ramullah on the besiege of the headquarters of the Palestinian authority, while the Palestinian media official at the Palestinian Authority, Yasser Abd Rabbu, said that water and electricity were not returned back to the Palestinian Authority headquarters. Abd Rabbu said that the situation is very difficult and what is taking place is but Israeli attempts aimed at diverting the attention form the main Israeli plan which is to ultimately eliminate the Palestinian Authority.
