Qatar: some 600 American troops to arrive in November

A diplomatic source at the American embassy in Qatar said that 600 American soldiers and army officers will be arriving in Doha by the end of October. They are members of the American central leadership who are located in Florida; this in order to start maneuvers in Qatar by the beginning of December.
Meantime, the ruler of Qatar Sheikh Hamad Bin Khaleifah al-Thani on Monday sent a cable of congratulations to King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz on the 70th anniversary of Saudi Arabia national day.
