Israel destroy Palestinian authority buildings, besiege Arafat headquarters

Eye witnesses said that the Israeli forces occupied the building facing the office of the chairman of the Palestinian Authority Yasser Arafat and replaced the Palestinian flag by an Israeli one and deployed snipers inside the building which is only 10 meters distance from the office of Yasser Arafat. The Israeli bulldozers destroyed the main bridge linking together the Palestinian Authority ( PA) building, removed the main stairs of the building and destroyed all other buildings in the complex.

As an Israeli military source admitted of firing a tank shell of heavy caliber at Arafat's headquarters that resulted in destroying the walls adjoining the hall where Arafat stays, the Israeli forces arrested 40 Palestinians after besieging them in one of the PA buildings.

Meantime, the Israeli forces imposed siege on six of the 8 Palestinian cities of the West Bank and sent tanks and forces to the north of Gaza where two Palestinians were killed and other 15 wounded near the border with Egypt, while Palestinian sources stressed that the Israeli army forces arrested 37 Palestinians during inspection operations at a check point to the south of Gaza and the Israeli tanks incurred for 500 meters in the agricultural lands to the east of Deir al-Balah and destroyed olive trees and removed a tent for the Palestinian security.

The Israeli army destroyed the house of Hamza Abu Zeid in Qabatya and arrested three citizens of Yata and Artaj towns to the south of Toulkarem while thousands of Arab youths broke the siege imposed by the Israeli forces against Nablus in order to go to their schools.
