Bahraini women and the next parliamentary elections

Some 8 Bahraini women have nominated themselves as candidates for the parliamentary elections due in October.

One of the woman candidate said that her persistence to nominate herself stems from her care that women play their due role in politics.

She said that the main cause for her is the need that women reach decision making positions, the same as in in the business area.

Another woman candidate, who is a research specialist at the ministry of education said that the forum of the parliament is the proper place to discuss all issues.

A third woman candidate, the chairperson of training and promotion at the Bahraini ministry of finance said that woman's persistence to undergo this experience would enhance women's right to be involved.
