Morocco, Macedonia set up diplomatic ties

Morocco and the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia set up Wednesday diplomatic relations, the Moroccan mission to the United Nations here said.
"Willing to develop and consolidate ties of friendship and cooperation, the two countries set up, through an exchange of letters, relations at the level of ambassadors, in accordance with the Vienna Convention on diplomatic relations, and on the basis of the UN charter's principles," the mission said.
The Republic of Macedonia is a Southeast European country, north of Greece and west of Bulgaria.
