Russia denies news of political asylum to Saddam Hussein

Sources of the Russian foreign ministry denied news reports by certain foreign media on that Russia might give political asylum in its territories to the Iraqi President Saddam Hussein.
The sources stressed on Friday that no discussions or negotiations are being made to this effect, noting they do not have information on the existence of the son of the Iraqi President Ode in Russia.
For his part, the Iraqi ambassador in Moscow Abbas Khalaf also denied such news and described them as just a "foolish media" misleading effort that fall in the context of a media campaign launched by the US after Baghdad has approved the acceptance of the return of UN weapons inspectors to Iraq.
