Jordan: King Abdullah postpones visit to Kuwait
Jordan-Kuwait, Politics, 9/20/2002

The Jordanian King Abdullah II has postponed a visit which was due to the state of Kuwait next Sunday to a later date which was not set yet, without clarifying the reasons behind that. However, he did not cancel another visit to be held to Bahrain in the same day.

A Jordanian official source told the correspondent of the United Arab Emirates news agency that the postponement of the visit came as a result of organizational and not political reasons.

A high ranking source at the Jordanian Royal court said that the set visit by the king to Kuwait would have lasted only for few hours during which he would have meeting with the Amir of Kuwait.

The source confirmed the visit of the King to the Kingdom of Bahrain which would follow his visit to Kuwait, is still on schedule.
