Haartez: 15,000 Israeli police, emergency person to be immunized

A medical source said that the Israeli ministry of health started on Wednesday the immunization of 15,000 emergency men and police men for fears of a likely Iraqi missiles bombardment.

A spokesman for the Israeli ministry of health said the immunization campaign started in Eshelove hospital in Tel Aviv.

According to Haartez daily, the Israeli ministry of health hopes to be able within 10 days t finish the immunization of 10,000 persons working in emergency teams and assigned of carrying out relief acts in case a biological Iraqi attack will take place.

This campaign came in implementation of a decision taken by the Israeli security government of August 21. During the Gulf war in 1991 Israel was hit by 39 Iraqi missiles carrying traditional warheads, resulted in two killings, hundreds of wounded and the destruction of houses.
