Exports to Turkey rise 41 percent

"Exports to Turkey in January-June 2002 were worth $61.7 million, a 41 per cent increase on the $43,8 million during the same period last year," an official Egyptian report said.
ΚΚΚ The periodic report by the Istanbul office of the Egyptian Trade Representation Authority (ETRA) showed that imports from Turkey fell during the same period to $145,4 million, compared with $208,4 million in the first two quarters of 2001.
ΚΚΚ The Istanbul office recommended that Egyptian businessmen visit Turkey to familiarize themselves with markets and assess the demand for Egyptian cotton.
