Ruler of Qatar confers with US forces commander

The ruler of Qatar Sheikh Hamad Bin Khaleifa al-Thani on Wednesday received Gen. Tommy Franc, the commander general of the American central leadership and members of the accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed cooperation relations between the two countries and means of strengthening them especially in the military fields.
Discussions also dealt with regional and international issues of mutual concern.
The meeting was attended by the Qatari army chief of staff Lt. Gen. Hamad Bin Ali al-Ateyah, Sheikh Abdul Rahman Bin Saud al-Thani, the secretary of the Emir for protocol affairs and the US ambassador to Qatar Mourin Queen.
