Saudi Arabia boycotts companies selling Israeli goods
Saudi Arabia, Economics, 9/19/2002
Saudi Arabia on Tuesday warned local companies against dealing with five American and European companies because they imported Israeli- made products to the Kingdom.
A statement by the Saudi ministry of commerce said that these companies are the US based Toro which is working in manufacturing machines for grass - cutting, and Onan Corp, the Spanish Alfodonis Del Bajis; the Dutch Green Skap Plants and the German Paul Schnider company.
The Saudi ministry has repeatedly denied selling Israeli goods in the kingdom. The statement said that orders were given to the Saudi companies to boycott these companies because they had imported goods of Israeli origin to Saudi Arabia.
However, the Israeli products are still able to enter into the Kingdom, despite the fact that the Saudi papers unveiled the selling of Israeli- made mobile telephones in the Saudi markets.
