Al-Assad confers with Berri, Abu Rizq

Syria's President Bashar al-Assad on Tuesday received the speaker of the Lebanese parliament Nabih Berri.
Discussions dealt with the continued Israeli threats and provocation against Lebanon, especially the attempts aiming at plundering Lebanon's waters and lands.
Al-Assad stressed Syria's stand in backing Lebanon until the restoration of all its land still under occupation and to get its full rights to national water.
On Tuesday morning, the president received former U.S. Senator James Abourezk, the founder of the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) in the USA. Talks dealt with current conditions in the region.
