Sultan of Brunei tour Damascus old markets

The Sultan of Brunei, Dar al-salaam Hassan Balqia, on Tuesday visited the Martyrs Monument at Qasyoun mount. He was accompanied by the minister of health, Muhammad Eyad al-Shatti, head of the honorary mission.. The Sultan toured the monument's various departments and artistic panels which depict heroic militant acts of the Syrians.
Sultan Hassan Balqia also tour the Ummayad grand mosque in Damascus and the tomb of Salah Edine al-Ayoubi who liberated Jerusalem from the Crusaders. Sultan Balqia also visited the old markets of Damascus and at al-Hamadeyah Souq he sampled "the Damascene ice cream." Before he headed for residence at Teshreen presidential palace, Prince Balqia visited "Teshreen sport city," where he practiced his favorite sports.
