Al-Barad' e: Iraq does not have nuclear weapons
Iraq, Politics, 9/17/2002

The director general of the International agency for atomic energy Muhammad al-Barad'e said on Monday that the agency did not get during the recent inspection operation in Iraq in December 1998, any evidence proving that Iraq still keeps capabilities to produce necessary equipment to manufacture nuclear weapons.

At the inauguration of the general annual conference of the agency in Vienna, he said "despite that, resuming the inspection operations is a decisive element in order to prove for the international community that the military nuclear program in Iraq was eliminated and has not been resumed."
