Jordan will not accept evacuees from Iraq in case of any attack
Jordan-Iraq, Politics, 9/17/2002
The Jordanian government has taken preventive measures for fears having to receive many people in case of any expulsion operations from Iraq to Jordan in case a military attack is directed to Iraq.
The Jordanian minister of the Interior Qaftan al-Majali told the Jordanian daily al-Rai that the state's departments are concerned to tighten follow up measures at the border centers and crossing against the flow or expulsion from any side towards the Jordanian territories.
The Jordanian minister said that " our policy is not to permit the influx of any new wave of evacuees because Jordan had suffered from three waves of migration, noting that Jordan can not receive new refugees because the current conditions are different from those before."
