Sultan of Brunei arrives today in Damascus
Syria-Brunei, Politics, 9/16/2002

Sultan Hassan al-Balqia of Brunei, Dar al-Salaam, will arrive today in Damascus on a three day official visit to the country during which he will be hold meetings with President Bashar al-Assad and with high ranking officials.

Sultan Balqia is accompanied by an official delegation composed of Issa Bin Ibrahim the special advisor for the Sultan and minister of the Interior; Ala eddine Bin Abu baker the chief of secretaries; Maj. Gen. Hasnan Bin Ahmad the Sultan's director of flight; Abdul Aziz Bin Jneid Mufti of Brunei Dar al-Salaam; Muhammad Nawawi Bin Muhammad Taha the special secretary for the Sultan; Hussein Bin Ahmad Brunei's ambassador in Amman; Yahya Bin Baker the permanent secretary for the office of the prime minister; and the permanent secretary for the foreign ministry in Brunei Lim Jong Sing.
