King Mohammed receives Iraqi president's envoy

Morocco's King Mohammed VI received yesterday in Rabat Iraqi vice president, Taha Muhiddin MÕrouf, as envoy of the Iraqi president Saddam Hussein to the sovereign.
The Iraqi official was accompanied by ambassador Salah Abdeslam from the Iraqi foreign ministry, and charge d'affaires at the Iraqi embassy in Rabat, Jawdat Kazem Al-Ani.
Were also present at the meeting, Taib Fassi Fihri, Moroccan Secretary of State for foreign affairs and cooperation.
Upon arrival on Thursday, the Iraqi president's envoy told reporters he will convey a message from the Iraqi president to the Moroccan king. He also hailed the excellent relations between the two Arab states and the two states' contribution to consolidating Arab solidarity, citing recommendations of the Arab summit of Beirut in March and of the Organization of Islamic Conference's foreign ministers who called for consolidating solidarity between Arab and Islamic countries in order to face challenges facing them.
