US calls on Israel for self control

Israeli sources said that the American administration called on Israel to maintain self control to the maximum possible concerning Syria, Lebanon and the Palestinians.

The Hebrew language Israeli radio quoted these sources, which it did not identify openly, saying that the American administration continuously since two weeks confirmied its said request, and these are in the framework of the intensive preparations to start attacking Iraq militarily as the US wants to reduce the level of tension in the region to the minimum before starting the military attack against Iraq.
