Mubarak confers with Indonesia's president

Egypt's President Hosni Mubarak on Thursday received President of Indonesia Megawati Sukarnoputri who on Thursday started an official visit to Egypt and held talks with her dealt with "terrorism and the development of conditions in the region and other issues of mutual concern, as well as bilateral relations."
A source close to the Egyptian presidency said that the Indonesia President held "immediately upon her arrival a session of bilateral talks with Mubarak" before she completed the talks in a plenary session at a lunch banquet held by the Egyptian president in honor of President Migawati and members of the accompanying delegation.
MENA said that the meeting between Mubarak and Megawati is of special importance due to the pivotal role carried out by the two countries in the Islamic world.
The Egyptian prime minister Atif Ebeid received Megawati upon her arrival at Cairo's airport. The delegation accompanying Indonesia's president includes the ministers of agriculture; commerce, industry, and telecommunications as well as several government's officials, businessmen and heads of Indonesian companies working in the areas of textile, cement palm oil, ships industries and melting industries.
