Iraqi message to victims of September 11; Blair asks parliament to discuss Iraq
Iraq-USA, Politics, 9/13/2002

The British prime minister Tony Blair on Wednesday asked for convening a special session for the House of Commons in Britain just for one day before the end of the current month, September, to be dedicated to the Iraqi issue despite the vacation of the British "House of Commons" ( the parliament).

Meantime, German chancellor, Gerhard Schroder warned that launching a war against Iraq will undermine the international coalition against "terrorism."

On the other hand, the US daily USA today said that the US President George Bush made the decision of topple the Iraqi President Saddam Hussein in November 2001, noting that this decision was taken without making the routine consultation measures.

The paper quoted officials in the White House, the Department of State , the Pentagon and the Congress as well as the intelligence, that since Bush had decided to topple Saddam, the internal discussions of his administration concentrated on the way of reaching this objective.

On the other hand, the Iraqi deputy prime minister Tareq Aziz sent a cable of commiseration to former U.S. Attorney General Ramsey Clark in which he expressed his "heart - felt condolences to the families of the American victims in September 11, 2001 attacks."
