Khatami visits Saudi Arabia this week

The Iranian daily Iran Daily said on Monday that President Muhammad Khatami will this week pay a visit to Saudi Arabia to hold talks with Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Abdullah Ibn Abdul Aziz.
The Iranian daily said that "President Khatami will head for Saudi Arabia this week and will discuss with the Iranian crown prince Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz regional and international issues." However, the Iranian Presidency refused to deny or confirm this news.
Khatami who was re-elected in 1997, visited Saudi Arabia in 1999, Saudi- Iranian relations witnessed a great improvement since the resumption of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 1991.
