Unesco seminar on democratic governance, NGOs and poverty fighting

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and cultural Organization (UNESCO) will hold here September 9 through 12 a seminar on "Arab NGOs, Democratic Governance, Poverty fighting policies: the ARABGOVNET network."
The meeting aims to set up a network linking local NGOs and researchers, to integrate the perspective of democratic governance in poverty and disparity fighting policies, UNESCO said in a release.
The seminar, unfolding at the level of four work teams and a training session, is to elaborate to the attention of governments political recommendations dealing mainly with democratic governance, freedom of association and legal empowerment.
