Khaddam conveys today a message to Chirac from al-Assad

French President Jacques Chirac meets today morning with the Syrian Vice President Abdul Halim Khaddam who will convey a message from President bashar al-Assad amid a mutual concern over a likely American attack against Iraq and Washington's continued support for the "bloody policy " pursued by the Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon.
Following his talks with Chirac, Khaddam will hold a meeting in the Syrian embassy with several Arab press and media correspondents. He will stay in Paris for several days.
