Mauritania's Taye' confers with Peres

President of Mauritania Mu'aweya Wild Taye' met on Tuesday in Johannesburg with the Israeli foreign minister Shimon Peres.
The Mauritanian news agency said that this meeting which was held at the residence of Taye' on the sideline of the World Summit, was the first between the Mauritanian president and an Israeli minister.
Worthy mentioning that Mauritania established diplomatic relations at the ambassadorial level with Israel despite the strong opposition by Mauritanians to establish such relations.
