Al-Qabas: Syrian source deny permitting al-Qaida to station in Lebanon

A high ranking Syrian official has denied what was stated by the Israeli daily Haaretz on Damascus permitting of 150- 200 members of al-Qaida organization through its territories to Lebanon, stationed in Ein al-Helweh camp for the Palestinian refugees which adjoins the Lebanese city of Sidon.
The Syrian official stated that this is but total "fabrication from A to Z..," according to the Kuwaiti daily al-Qabas in its Monday's issue.
The paper quoted the Syrian official added that Ein al-Helweh camp is situated inside Lebanon and is subjected in its matters to the Lebanese sovereignty.
He added that having such news come from an Israeli military commentator who is very close from the key and effective leaderships in Israeli indicate that these statements are prefabricated and of implications aiming at provoking the US against Syria.
The Syrian official added, according to the paper, that everyone knows Syria's position on the al-Qaida organization, and warned against the Israeli move which aims at mobilizing America against certain Arab states.
