Fees canceled on main lines of the Jordanian Aqaba port

Jordanian naval sources said that specialized sides canceled fees at the Jordanian Aqaba port which were imposed following the incidents of September 11 in the USA.
The executive director of the trade union and the representatives of the Jordanian navy Muhammad Adalbeij said in press statements that there are certain lines in Aqaba port where fees are still imposed, but simple fees, noting on the other hand that no case inspection was reported on arrival or departing ships from or to al-Aqaba port by foreign patrols.
Dalabeij said that his trade unions recommended the reduction of port fees on certain commodities like iron and steel and timber at various rates ranging between 20 to 25 percent in comparison with other ports in the region.
