Egypt website to attract foreign investments

The Arab-German Chamber for Industry and Commerce launched a website to promote foreign investments in Egypt in cooperation with the World Bank's Mega Organization.

Director of Investment Promotion Program in Egypt, John Well, said that such a program would set Egypt on the world economic map and help it attract foreign investments.

It, he said, would help foreign investors to have access to investment-related information, pointing out that the number of international companies which visited the new website hit 300.

Well added that the Arab and Mideast regions had recently seen an influx of Arab investments, in addition to the remarkable progress achieved between Arab states in the field of trade exchange.

On his part, the executive director of the German Chamber of Commerce said that the Chamber provided Egypt with services to help it increase foreign investments, for instance, making economic feasibility and market studies for the international corporations, taking part in hammering out deals between Egyptian companies and foreign delegations, providing consultancy as regards importing and exporting, following up the major projects and bids in Egypt and Germany, organizing legal symposiums, hosting international legal conferences, training businessmen and developing human resources via a series of training courses and workshops to improve the efficiency and polish up the skills of companies' owners and employees working in different institutions.
