Argentine trade delegation tours Maghreb in october

An Argentine trade delegation will undertake next October 1 through 12 a Maghreb tour that will lead it to Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia and Libya, it was announced in Buenos Aires Friday.
The four states' annual imports from Argentina amount to an average of 400 million dollars, i.e. nearly 25 percent of Argentina's overall exports to the Arab states that totalled $1.3 billion in 2001. Argentina's imports from the Arab world were worth $ 100 million during the same year.
Argentina's exports to the Maghreb states are mainly made up of cereals, oils, beef, flours, milk powder, iron tubes, coloring matter, wood, pharmaceutical products and car spare parts.
The delegation is representing several enterprises operating in the sectors of industry and agri-business.
