Five Palestinians killed by Israel in Hebron, Jenin

Palestinian and Israeli sources said on Sunday that four Palestinians were shot on Sunday by the Israeli bullets near Hebron and a fifth Palestinian was killed in a fire exchange following an Israeli incursion in Jenin.

The four Palestinians were shot near Bani Naem town which falls under the Palestinian self rule authority, adjoining an Israeli settlement near Hebron, according to eye witnesses.

The witnesses said the four Palestinians were working who were coming back to their houses at dawn after they had worked in a quarry. The four men are in their 20th. They are Alaa Ayeyda and the two brothers Hisham and Husam al-Haleyqa and their cousin Ateyah al-Haleyqa.

Meantime, a spokesman for the Israeli army claimed that the Israeli soldiers ambushed four Palestinians after they had received information on a sneaking attempt to Kreyat Arbaa settlement.

Meanwhile, a Palestinian security source said that a Palestinian activist was killed during a fire exchange in Jenin camp for the Palestinian refugees. The same source said that Abdul Kareem Basam al-Sadi ( 18 year old), son of the local leader of al-Quds groups, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad was killed by a bullet in his chest during a fire exchange with Israeli soldiers. Witnesses said that the Israeli army stormed into the camp by scores of tanks and soldiers armored vehicles.
