Sharon's wants Washington to launch the war against Iraq

Israeli sources said that it is necessary to remind the American decision makers of Israel's participation in the war against Iraq.

In this regard, the Israeli Jerusalem Post said that the Israeli military leaders call for directing a preventive strike against Iraq when the American air strikes starts because Israel can take part in the American air strikes and use its special force in destroying the mobile Iraqi missiles positions on the ground.

The paper stressed the Israeli Mossad has a clearer picture on what is taking place inside Iraq especially regarding the power of the Iraqi opposition parties. The paper said US President George Bush should give orders to his military aides to get Israel to participate in the planning and implementation of the war against Iraq. The paper added that this is an Israeli war as much as it is an American war

Meantime, former majority leader in the US Senate Bob Dole asked the US president to get the consent of the US congress, first concerning any plan for the attack. He said that the US will not ask the consent of the UN to launch an attack against Iraq because it knows that such a request will be vetoed.
