Al-Assad gets a message from Khatami

Syria's President Bashar al-Assad in Damascus received the Iranian deputy foreign minister Muhammad Sader and the accompanying delegation. Sader conveyed a message from President Muhammad Khatami relating to current conditions in the region.
Discussions dealt with bilateral relations between the two states and means of strengthening them, current conditions at the regional and international arenas and the campaigns of threats and provocation against the Arab and Islamic states.
