Israeli warplanes violate Lebanese airspace
Lebanon-Israel, Military, 9/2/2002

The air defense unit in the Lebanese national resistance on Sunday intercepted the Israeli warplanes which violated the Lebanese airspace over Bint Jbeil area in south Lebanon.

In a statement, the Lebanese resistance said that its air defense unit intercepted the Israeli warplanes for the second time upon violating the Lebanese airspace over al-Nabatieh area and its surroundings in south Lebanon.

Earlier in the day, the Israeli occupation forces positioned in the depth of the occupied Shebaa farms bombarded Burket al-Naqqar to the south of Shebaa town by three artillery shells.

A Lebanese security source said that the bombardment coincided with the Israeli soldiers mopping up operation in Rweisat al-Alam position in the valleys surrounding the said position by machine guns. No casualties were reported.
