Iran denies claims on Israeli weapons
Iran-Israel, Politics, 8/30/2002
The spokesman for the Iranian foreign ministry Hameed Rida Asifi has strongly denied claims alleged by the Israeli ministry of defense saying that Iran had bought weapons from Israel that were sold earlier to Taiwan.
In a statement Asifi said the Israeli attempts to raise doubts concerning Iran's stance especially "its rejection of the Israeli expansionist schemes, are but ridiculous."
Asifi stressed that Iran will not establish relations with the "Zionist entity " and that Israel's allegations embodies its disrespect of the world public opinion. He said that Israel can not hide its internal discrepancy and problems by accusing others.
