Royal Air Maroc Staff to Go on Strike August 29-30
Morocco, Business, 8/29/2002
The staff of Morocco's carrier, Royal Air Maroc (RAM), will stage a 48 hour strike August 29-30, four associations and trade unions said in a joint release. The carrier said in a subsequent communique that it undertakes to make all arrangements to maintain the flights scheduled for Thursday and Friday.
RAM staff protests the dismantling policy followed by the company's direction, non-generalization of social loans, absence of health coverage, poor working conditions and other ills within the carrier. It also calls for an urgent audit of the company's management.
