Al-Shara, Bin Issa discuss regional issues
Syria-Bahrain, Politics, 8/29/2002

Syria's foreign minister Farouk al-Shara on Wednesday received Bahrain's foreign minister Sheikh Muhammad Bin Issa Mubarak al-Khalifa and members of the accompanying delegation.

The meeting was attended by the deputy foreign minister Suleiman Haddad and Bahrain's ambassador in Damascus, dealt with relations between Syria and Bahrain and means of strengthening them in various fields.

Discussions dealt with latest developments of conditions in the region especially in the occupied Palestinian territories as a result of the continued Israeli aggression against the Palestinians and campaigns of threats and blackmailing against the Arab states.

View points were identical on the need to find out an effective Arab position to withstand challenges threatening the Arab national security and standing against Iraq or any other Arab or Islamic country.
