Luxor Temple main entrance reopened

Minister of Culture, Farouk Hosni, decided the formation of a committee to be chaired by the head of Egyptian Monuments Division archaeologist Sabri Abdel Aziz for making the final arrangements for opening the new entrance of Luxor Ttemple, which is the same ancient entrance during the pharaonic era.
This is the first time the Temple would be opened since discovered in the early 20th century.
Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Antiquities, Dr. Zahi Hawwas said that this project is a part of the CouncilŐs plan for reopening the main entrances of all ancient temples and monument areas adding that all slum areas surrounding the Temple have been removed.
