Israeli forces break into Jenin by tanks and helicopters, demolish homes

The Israeli forces on Monday broke by tanks into Jenin and its camp, and carried out a campaign of arrest and large scale detentions amid intensive fire. Among the detainees were Jamal Abu al-Haija one of the members of the Islamic resistance movement Hamas and his aide Islam Jarrar.

Few hours later, the Israeli forces resumed its aggressions against Jenin and its camp and carried out a large scale military operation in which scores of armored vehicles backed by five Apache planes took part. The Israeli forces besieged three buildings while one Israeli army officer and two soldiers were wounded during the Palestinians confrontation of the Israeli forces.

In Toulkarem, the Israeli forces demolished the house of Mansour Sharem under the pretext that he is a member in al-Aqsa group and over his participation in an operation against the Israeli army while five Palestinians were arrested from the city of Hebron also under the pretext of their participation in operations against Israeli targets.

Some 100 Israeli soldiers backed by three armored vehicles stormed a center for the handicapped in Nablus and carried out an inspection campaign and conducted inhuman practices against its working staff.

Clashes erupted in Nablus between the Palestinians and the Israeli forces resulted in seriously wounding one of the Israeli soldiers.

Meantime, the Israeli tanks and bulldozers incurred for hundreds of meters into lands that fall under the Palestinian authority to the north of Gaza and bulldozed vast areas to the east of Beit Hanoun town.

The Israeli soldiers carried out a vast inspection campaign in search for the Palestinian resistance men while the Israeli army continued the construction of a new settlement road in the Palestinian agricultural lands to the south of Deir al-Balah, where the Israeli tanks broke into the area to ensure protection for the machinery working in constructing the road which link the complex of "Ghoushe Katif" settlements to Kosovim road.

The Palestinians retaliated by Palestinian resistance men firingat Ghouse Katif settlement complex and this resulted in large damage to one of the buildings. The Palestinians also shelled an Israeli position near Natsareim settlement and another shell against a factory and this resulted in a large fire in it
