8 persons killed in building collapse in Jabal Ali, Dubai

Some 8 workers died and other 19 wounded, five in critical conditions on Sunday morning as one of the ceilings of an iron building collapsed in a position under construction for the second phase project of an electricity generation station and water desalinization ( Station K) in Jabal Ali, Dubai.

Dubai's electricity and water commission has formed a technical committee at a high level to find the reasons behind the incident.

Acting director of Dubai's water and electricity commission Abdullah Saeed Obeid Allah said that any of the electricity and water supplies station working in Jabal Ali were not affected by the incident because the project is still under construction.
