Release of 11 Lebanese held in Syria

"The committee of relatives of the Lebanese detainees in the Syrian jails" announced that the Syrian authorities recently released some 11 Lebanese who were still in the Israeli jails and handed over the body of one Lebanese died in the prison for his family.

In a statement issued on Monday the committee said that the released persons were presumed to be among the missing. It called on the Syrian authorities to release other detainees held by it. The committee did not mention the date when those Lebanese were released and the Syrian authorities did not comment on what stated in the statement.
