Al-Sharq al-Awsat: Palestinian embassy refuses to receive Abu Nidal's body

The London based al-Sharq al-Awsat daily said in its Saturday's issue that the Palestinian embassy in Baghdad refused to receive the body of Sabri al-Banna ( Abu Nidal), the leader of the Fatah movement- the revolutionary council who was found dead from "shot guns" in his flat in Baghdad more than one week before.

A Palestinian source asked to be anonymous told the paper that the embassy refused to receive the body of Abu Nidal and expected that Abdul Karim al-Banna, the nephew of Abu Nidal who lives in Baghdad since his split from his uncle in 1991 was the one who received the body of Abu Nidal and supervised the burial ceremony.
