Al-Deyar: Iraqi opposition trains volunteers to fight Saddam Hussein

In its Sunday's issue, the Lebanese daily al-Deyar said that the Iraqi opposition has actually started preparation to recruit Iraqi fighters in order to fight Saddam Hussein's regime and that the US will pay the salaries of those fighters, train them and place them in camps on the borders in Turkey and Jordan.
The paper added that the American forces will train those fighters quickly in order to be deployed in Kurdistan so as to advance later into inside Iraq.
The paper quoted news reports saying that the salaries of the fighters will be 800 dollars per month and the former Iraqi army officers will get between 1500- 2000 dollars per month and they will provided by advanced weapons.
The paper added that those fighters were trained in the USA since one year until the present time and will form a framework for the new Iraqi army which will be sponsored by the US.
