Al-Deyar: Bombs found near American embassy in Beirut

The Lebanese daily al-Deyar said on Sunday that a Mercedes car including three young men stopped at a crossing situated in front of the American embassy just 200 meters in Dubyet Oker area on Saturday evening ( 10.30 p.m.).
The paper said that the three young men threw a "strange body" that raised the doubts of people there and the on-foot patrol in charge of guarding the embassy was notified. The "strange body" was checked to be found as mortars thrown on the road side.
The patrol members blocked the road and took necessary measures. A group of from the engineering weapons department came and dismantled the bombs. Other members of intelligence in the Lebanese army, the state security and the internal security came to the site to investigate the matter.
