Al-Hayat: Iraq's V.P. to found new companies on visit to Damascus

The London- based al-Hayat daily said Friday that the Iraqi vice president Taha Yassin Ramadan will visit Damascus on August 27 through 29 in order to head the Iraqi delegation in the Syrian- Iraqi joint committee which will be headed for the Syrian side by the prime minister Muhammad Mustafa Miro.

In a news by its correspondent in Damascus, the paper added that the two countries will sign, on the sideline of the meetings, agreements to found three companies at a capital greater than 500 million dollars.

Al-Hayat expected Ramadan to hold talks with high ranking Syrian officials, foremost being President Bashar al-Assad on international and regional developments and the American threats against Iraq.
