King Mohammed calls for massive and discerning participation in coming polls
Insisting on the significance of elections as a basis for democracy, King Mohammed VI said "the free and aware choice by citizens of whom would stand for them in running public affairs being the golden rule for democracy, elections are indeed a genuine test of citizenship, both, as the expression of the sense of responsibility as well as active and efficient involvement in political life which, in turn, is the basis for democracy."

Al-Assad meets Jordanian premier, Syrian water for Jordan
Syria's President Bashar al- Assad on Tuesday in Aleppo met with the Jordanian Prime Minister Ali Abul Ragheb. The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Muhammad Mustafa Miro, the foreign minister Farouk al-Shara, the Jordanian foreign minister Marwan Muasher and the Jordanian ambassador in Damascus Shaker Arabeyat.

Attack by Iraqi opposition group at the Iraqi embassy in Berlin
The German police on Tuesday announced it was able to release all hostages who were held by an armed group in the Iraqi embassy in Berlin, noting that they had broken into the embassy and were able to control the situation and arrest members of the group with two of them wounded.

Israeli forces kill five Palestinians, including Muhammad Saadat
The Israeli forces on Tuesday killed the Palestinian Muhammad Saadat in Ramullah, the brother of the leader of the people's front for the liberation of Palestine, according to Palestinian sources and relatives of the killed who confirmed that an Israeli force broke into his house and executed him.
